The 50 year old blend is from 2 barrels that have been aged since 1964 and after the blending of the liquid, they have aged together for another period of 6 months in one new barrel of sherry to blend together the flavors of the 2 barrels. Aroma of dried fruit and aroma of chocolate with a long and delicate finish. The 52-year-old single malt is from 3 oak barrels stored in a distillery since 1962 and the total production volume is 500 bottles of a very unique whiskey. It is known that every year, about 2% of the liquid in the barrel evaporates and therefore the amount is limited to the aroma of dried fruits and the aroma of vanilla and almonds. In the ancient Gaelic language the word “tila” means delicacy. The whiskey’s name is given due to its delicate and special taste. The color of the whiskey is golden and has a combined sweetness of toffee and vanilla with aromas of lemon and delicacy of mint leaves. The finish has a refreshing spiciness of a mint scent.
