A blend of malts from the Scottish Highlands. Sweet and fruity aroma, with prominent notes of barley sugar, honey, and vanilla cream. Alongside these are fresh fruits such as green apple, pear, and orange peel, with touches of fresh hay and nutmeg. On the palate, there is a balance between sweetness and spice. Initial flavours include creamy caramel fudge, honeycomb, and rich malt. This is followed by a “kick” of black pepper, cinnamon, and clove, with layers of dried fruits, lemon zest, and toasted oak. The finish is medium to long and dry, with lingering warmth of spiced oak, honey, and a hint of liquorice or menthol. Touches of apple juice and chocolate also appear. It is non-chill filtered and contains no added colour.
