A blend of aged single malts from four key islands: Islay, Isle of Arran, Orkney, and Isle of Jura. Inside the bottle is a “pearl,” symbolizing the oyster shell-the maritime “treasure” hidden within a rough exterior.
At first, it is rich in barley and butter, quickly developing into a maritime character of wet rocks from sea waves, salt, and fresh sea air. There are hints of gentle peat smoke, citrus fruits, honey, and biscuits. The palate is deep and medium-bodied, with sea spray, black pepper, and damp ash. Flavours of honeycomb, fudge, creamy vanilla, orange sweets, and green apple follow.
The finish is long, with notes of wood embers, bonfire smoke, and orange peel, ending with creamy vanilla and a touch of delicate spice. It is non-chill filtered and contains no added colour.
