A single grain, single cask expression produced in small batches. Each release in the single cask series is aged for three years in re-charred ex-bourbon casks, followed by finishing in a variety of special casks. In this edition, XO Calvados casks (Calvados aged at least 6 years), sourced from the orchards of Normandy in France and previously used for aging apple brandy, enhance the whisky’s orchard fruit character. The aroma is light and floral, with notes of vanilla, honey, and orchard fruits. On the palate, brown sugar and butter, toffee, baked apples and pears, cinnamon, pepper, French oak spices, and honey.
The finish is marked by green apple peel and delicate wood spices.
