. The whisky is made from a combination of malted and unmalted barley, distilled in traditional copper pot stills, and aged for over seven years. The use of peated malt, smoked during the drying process, adds a powerful twist, combining gentle smokiness with the familiar spice and creamy texture of Poitín Still whisky. Its maturation journey begins in American oak ex-bourbon casks, followed by an additional four years in virgin Irish oak from Greenan Forest in Wicklow, sourced through sustainable methods. The extended aging in Irish oak imparts layers of toasted wood, rich vanilla, and warm spice, perfectly complementing the refined peat smoke. This is a very special limited-edition release, available for a limited time only.
