The single cask series is aged for three years in re-charred ex-bourbon casks, followed by finishing in a variety of special casks. In this edition, the spirit is finished for just under a year in French Pinot Noir casks, adding unusual depth to Irish whiskey.
The aroma is light yet rich, with notes of fresh leaves, leather, vanilla, and dark cherries. On the palate, it is fruity and fresh with citrus notes, yet dry, accompanied by rich berry flavors, toasted oak, and leafy earthiness. The finish is earthy, with tannins and peppery wood spices.
